James R. Wilson is an
associate and member of the real estate transactional and land use
department of the law firm Hart, King & Coldren. Mr. Wilson's
practice will focus on matters pertaining to the acquisition,
disposition, leasing and development of commercial and residential
property. He has extensive experience in the representation
of commercial, retail, resort and industrial developers, institutional
owners, joint ventures, limited liability companies and corporations.
His responsibilities have included the acquisition, disposition,
financing, development and leasing of a wide variety of real estate
assets, including many prominent, office, retail, resort and mixed-use
projects throughout the western United States.
Mr. Wilson was formerly the Vice President and General Counsel for
American Real Estate Development, Co., a privately held real estate
investment firm, where he oversaw all legal aspects of the company's
real estate and financial transactions and provided strategic business
and legal advice to the management. Mr. Wilson also has held
positions in the real estate and land use departments of prominent
California law firms, including Stradling, Yocca, Carlson & Rauth
and Hatch & Parent. Both his background and education provide
him with a unique perspective in structuring complex real estate
transactions to suit a client's particular goals and objectives.
Mr. Wilson is a frequent lecturer on current real estate, land use and
environmental issues.
